Secrets of a teenage heiress was just so fun. I really enjoyed Katy Birchalls It Girl series and the first book in The Hotel Royale series was know different. The book is aimed at a young tweens, 11+, but are protagonist is 14 years old and it definitely reads as a younger end YA book. I as a 29 year old woman however still really enjoyed it and know my tween self would have as well.  Katy's books always make me laugh out loud and Flick was such a fun character, I was smiling and laughing throughout.

Flick lives in Hotel Royale one of Londons more prestigious hotels where the rich and famous come to stay and she is just so funny and snarky I love her. Flick gets up to some really fun things and the setting of the hotel was fabulous. Flick as a character always gets herself into so much trouble that hilarity ensues.

The storyline keep me intrigued and it flowed nicely. Katy`s writing made me really nostalgia of some of my fave authors as a tween including Jacqueline Wilson and I would love to see this as a TV show it would just be so fun. It's depicts a modern teen in 2018 and that's something I loved to see but it also felt like she was a teen, she was your typical fun 14 year old who is navigating the life of celebrity and social media.

I love all the side characters particularly Flicks friends, and especially Grace who is just hilarious! Cal is also just such a sweetheart! As you have may have noticed fun is a word am using quite alot and it was but also it had a story of friendship, love and diversity which was amazing to see.

I can't wait for more of this series and more of Katys writing , she just knows how to write stories for tweens/teens so well. Also as a last boast to get you to pick it up there is a frickin cute dog. 4 Stars
