Sunday Post #14 -The beautiful Peter Pan Edition

The Sunday Post

The Sunday Post was created by Caffeniated Book Reviewerthis is a post where we recap on the going on's on the blog the week previous and the week coming up as well as the awesome books we have received, bought or been gifted for review!

Yesterday I would have only had a few books to show you. However my sister and I went on a shopping trip yesterday and I ended up getting 7 books (Oops) but a lot of them I got really cheap. One I am really excited about I am going to show you now. It's a hardback editon of Peter Pan.

Anyone who knows me knows I love Peter Pan. But I didn't have a nice edition for my shelf so I picked this up in Waterstones for £16.99. It's so pretty and after 7 hours of shopping it was worth it to find this beauty.

Some random things...

I realized that the last few books I have read have been published by Headline, a UK Publisher and my favourite book series ever is published by them. In conclusion I think this publisher is pretty awesome.

A new band I have discovered that are so good is  a band called ,Oh Honey they're  more a a duo than a band.  I don't know much about them but their music is good. They are on Fueled by Ramen's record label. I love this label, it has Panic at the disco, Paramore, Twenty One Pilot's and loads more on its label.

This week I read and reviewed .....

This week I read three books and I am half way though a fourth, which may not sound like a lot but it's a lot for me as at the most I usually read if am lucky is two books.  I read the sequel to The 5th Wave, The Infinite Sea and I loved it so much. I put my review of The 5th Wave up this week and wrote it in a different style, you can check it out here. I also read An Island of Our Own by Sally Nicholls and What Remains by Helene Dubar. All three reviews will be up this week.

This week on the blog I also put up my review of Guilty Pleasures (The Anita Blake Vampire Hunter Series #1) by Laurell K Hamilton. This is a adult vampire/horror and I really liked it. You can check out my review here My second post for my #UKYA IRE spotlight feature went up. The book is The Grindle Witch by Benjamin J Myers. If you live in the UK/Ireland you can win a copy of the book here

On to the best part of this post, the books:

Bought

So when I was shopping yesterday I went into a shop called The Works that has new books for really cheap prices, so I picked up six books LOL and I also popped into Waterstones.

  1. Oh wow, Megan! That Peter Pan and Wendy book is absolutely gorgeous! I wouldn't have been able to resist, either :)
And adding new books to our shelves is kind of par for the course for book-bloggers, right?
I hope you'll enjoy all your new books, and that the new week will be a good one.

  3. I love the Peter Pan book! It's gorgeous! I've been wanting to read it but just haven't made time to get a copy of the book. I've heard it's a wonderful story. I love the cover of Neverland as well. BTW you asked if I recommended the Charlaine Harris mysteries. I really liked the Aurora Teagarden and Harper Connolly series but haven't read any of the Lily Bard series. But they're more traditional mysteries and the Teagarden books have no supernatural.
